Cheers to Dark Fire Press: 5 Year Anniversary!

Dark Fire Press: Five Year Anniversary, 2018-2023

Gentleman Cthulhu publisher, Dark Fire Press, turns 5 this year! That’s 5 years of creator-owned publishing not only of the work of J. M. DeSantis, but that of others such as Jorge Media, Luiz M. Cruz, and Anibal Arroyo. More publications are coming from them this year. (And who knows? perhaps finally something new from Gentleman Cthulhu!). So check out their site: darkfirepress.com & join their mailing list for updates in your e-mail (their socials are linked on their site).

To another five and more years! Cheers!

Dark Fire Press, ComiXology, and the Mummy Collection

And They Call it Mummy Love coverThanks to the establishment of Dark Fire Press (darkfirepress.com), Gentleman Cthulhu comics are now available on ComiXology.com. As of today, they’ve also added the long-awaited And They Call it Mummy Love collection to the site! You can find all three current collections listed here: comixology.com/Gentleman-Cthulhu-Emeritus-Moribus-Monstrum/comics-series/128431. Also, an IndyPlanet print version of the Mummy collection should be available soon.

While I know the present web-comic is very far behind, creating Dark Fire Press is allowing me to expand my reach with certain projects such as Gentleman Cthulhu. I’m planning to start posting new and back comics again soon, as I have all the intention in the world of continuing the web-comic for the foreseeable future. I just needed a break from both this and Chadhiyana (my other comic) to explore some new projects.  Read more… ›

Happy Holidays: I’m Still Alive!

Happy Holidays, Gentleman Cthulhu fans!

(That is, of course, if any of you are still checking this site.)

And They Call it Mummy Love: A Gentleman Cthulhu Collection coverI’m sorry for the long absence, and if you’ve been checking my blog on jmdesantis.com or happen to be a member of my Patreon (and you’d be very informed in the latter case), you’ll know I had my reasons for taking a break.

That said, I plan to catch up entirely on this years’ comics (that is, Year 4; comic #157 through today’s #175), hopefully before the New Year. After that, I’m going to turn my attention to completing the Year 3 set (#105 – 156), and put out that collection (which will be appropriately renamed Gentleman Cthulhu: The Comics out of Time rather than Third Cheers a Charm).  Read more… ›

It’s Been a While…

Since starting my blog back at the end of 2012 (on jmdesantis.com. following the publication of the first Chadhiyana comic), I don’t think I’ve ever let so much time pass between posts. The reasons for that are many, but rather than dwell on the past, I’d like to get everyone up to speed on the new, the old, and the behind-but-catching-up (and to do so in as few words as possible).  Read more… ›

Happy Valentine’s Day…Now Show Us Some Love!

This year, I’ve got something special planned in honour of the day of love, and to commemorate the popular and longest running series in this two-and-a-half-year-running web-comic: the And They Call it Mummy Love series.  Read more… ›
