CHEERS!

Two Big Announcements from Rosarium Publishing

Rosarium_Publishing_SunTzu_quoteToday is a very special day for me and Chadhiyana (my medieval Indian assassin comic–also my main creative project). Not only has Chadhiyana #4 been given a release date of April 27th, but Rosarium Publishing (Chadhiyana’s publisher) has launched a massive crowdfunding campaign in order to reach the next level in its growth as a publisher: indiegogo.com/projects/rosarium-publishing-the-next-level (appropriately named Rosarium Publishing: The Next Level). #25 – The Primordial One

Exactly eighty-eight years ago this month, “The Call of Cthulhu” was published in Weird Tales Magazine, and so the world was introduced to the most famous of the Great Old Ones and what would later be termed the Cthulhu Mythos was born. Of course, I don’t know the exact date of publication of the February 1928 issue of Weird Tales, but it is enough that this particular post and comic are coming in the month it was published. More, it is the 25th of the month, and this comic stands as the 25th on the site (well, 28th, really, but it’s the 25th by number). So, it’s something of a milestone comic as well. Read more… ›

Interview with Sequential Tart

Just yesterday, Sequential Tart (sequentialtart.com) published an interview they did with me, J. M. DeSantis, creator of Gentleman Cthulhu. Given the interview mostly concerns my other comic creation, Chadhiyana, but there is a mention of Gentleman Cthulhu at the end. You can read the interview on sequentialtart.com/article.php?id=2822. Cheers!

Get Your Free Chadhiyana #1!

I realise that the last few comics on this site have been about some shameless self-promotion, so I do apologise for the above. Normally the comic is intended to be about hilarious and ridiculous situations involving monsters (and Gentleman Cthulhu’s seemingly clueless commentary thereof). However, it is worth mentioning that my main project, Chadhiyana, is currently experiencing a great deal of attention right now, including (as the above comic mentions) a promotional giveaway of the first issue.  Read more… ›

New York Comic Con Booth 1259!

J. M. DeSantis Upcoming Event

Another year has passed and the New York Comic Con is upon us once more! For the sixth year in a row I will be making an appearance at the show, this time in the exact same spot as last year: Booth 1259 in the Small Press area! Of course, it’s long past time I got back into Artist Alley, but that’s another story. For now, I’m just happy to be participating in such a monumental pop-culture event. Read more… ›

Important Upcoming Dates

Just a friendly reminder of some important dates coming up in the next month. First, if you haven’t joined the mailing list yet, there’s still time to do so before the first newsletter goes out (either tomorrow or Thursday, the 30th or the 1st, respectively). It’s (I hope) going to be a great way to keep on top of not only Gentleman Cthulhu, but release dates, developments and other such things related to me and my work (there’s a form to join the mailing list at the bottom of this post). New York Comic Con is One Month Away

Gentleman Cthulhu Event 2015

It’s September 8th and you know what that means: it’s exactly one month to the day before the start of the 2015 New York Comic Con! It’s also six days and some odd hours before extended ticket mailing for the show closes. As in the previous few years, I be exhibiting in the small press area (I believe at the same booth as last year: 1259)–so be sure not to look for me in artist alley. That said, though I’ll be in the same spot as some small publishers, it’s not only books you can get at my booth (though, you can get books too). Read more… ›

Sign Up for the Mailing List

At the end of this month (or at the very latest, the beginning of next month), I will be starting up a mailing list. At this point, with Gentleman Cthulhu, my main comic series Chadhiyana (chadhiyana.com) and my weekly blog (jmdesantis.com), never mind any forthcoming publications and projects, it’s starting to become necessary to have a central means of keeping fans up-to-date. This monthly newsletter is going to be an attempt (and hopefully a successful one at that) at keeping all of my fans in the know on everything that is coming out from me. Read more… ›
